Dr. Dale Schaefer is an owner and practicing physician in general Dermatology at Austin Dermcare since 1987, and Devenir Aesthetics since 2002. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with highest honors in 1980 with a BA in Biology. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine with honors in 1987. Texas Monthly has named him a “Super Doc” every year from 2004 through 2022.
Dr. Schaefer has been very active in medical teaching, and in 2009 the University of Texas Medical Branch named him a “Top Doc” for teaching excellence. Dr. Schaefer has been Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 1987.
IZABELA SIKORA

Izabela is the new and proud owner of Devenir Aesthetics, a luxury spa located in Austin, TX. She is a passionate advocate for self-care and believes that everyone deserves to feel and look their best. Izabela has been in the spa industry for over 10 years, and she has a wealth of experience in all aspects of medical spa operations. She is also very well-known and connected in the industry and will find the best solution for your needs.
She is committed to providing her clients with the highest quality services with top-of-the-line technology in a relaxing and luxurious environment. She believes in the importance of feeling and looking amazing and she strives to create an atmosphere where her clients can relax and rejuvenate with FDA-approved products of the highest quality as well as her incredibly talented and experienced team.
Izabela is also a strong supporter of the local community. She is a member and a frequent volunteer at local charities and organizations. She is a dedicated and passionate businesswoman who is committed to making a difference in the lives of her clients and the community. ASHTON SHAWVER
Practice Manager
Ashton is a highly skilled and dedicated Practice Manager, leveraging a diverse background in the entertainment, medical, and beauty industries to provide exceptional patient care and support. He holds a degree in Human Services, which complements his extensive experience and enhances his ability to connect with and support patients on a deeper level.
Having previously worked as a hairstylist in the
entertainment industry, Ashton possesses an innate understanding of the transformative power of beauty and self-expression. Before joining Devenir, he most recently spent time as an entertainer, captivating audiences on the Las Vegas strip.
This background has instilled in him the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life. He understands the importance of building trust and rapport with patients, making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their journey at Devenir Aesthetics.
Furthermore, he brings extensive
experience as a medical billing specialist, ensuring seamless administrative processes and efficient coordination of patient services.
As a Practice Manager, Ashton is committed to delivering
exceptional service, fostering a warm and welcoming environment, and ensuring that each patient's experience is nothing short of extraordinary.
ALISSA SAENZ
Licensed Medical Aesthetician / Cosmetic Injection Specialist
Alissa was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She moved to Austin in 1979 and attended St. Edwards University. Prior to her career in aesthetics, which she began in 2001, she directed a transitional housing program for homeless families.
Alissa helped launch Botox in Austin in 2003 and has taken advanced level aesthetic classes with world renowned industry leaders in cosmetic injectables, IPL and Lasers. She continues her training journey with a philosophy that you can always expand your knowledge. She has also trained doctors and other providers in all levels of aesthetic procedures. Her treatment philosophy is based on an individualized approach and she favors a natural appearance. Alissa’s favorite part about her job is helping people feel better about themselves, inside and out, whether it’s treating people with traumatic scars or helping someone with preventative and corrective cosmetic procedures.
She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her 2 grandsons. Her hobbies include taking ballet, reading, cooking, travel, art, history, learning something new and watching sports—especially the New Orleans Saints and the San Antonio Spurs!

I moved to Austin from a small town in West Texas back in 2000, which was a complete culture shock as I found myself navigating an entirely new world. However, from an early age, I've been an artist and creator, and have always loved helping people, which is what led me to my first career move and doing makeup. I had no prior experience, but by working with friends in the industry, I started putting myself out there and before too long, I was working on fashion shoots, magazines, music videos and film.
I was very young when I got my first tattoo (I tattooed myself) and started tattooing others, so the next step in my career evolution was in the Permanent Makeup world, which came naturally to me. With my passion and knowledge about skin, the face, beauty and makeup, I genuinely love helping my clients build confidence with their appearance. However, after more than a decade helping others with makeup and permanent makeup, the perpetual knowledge seeker in me wanted to learn more.
As I continued to grow in my career, I wanted to do more for my clients than just cover things with makeup, which led me to Medical Aesthetics. I was very lucky to work with a company/school that required me to take all their courses, which included laser, injectables and skincare, to better serve our clients and help students. Adding these services to my resume allowed me to help my clients on so many levels, from scars, botched surgeries, bad permanent makeup, acne and hair removal.
This is where I am now, after more than 10 years in Medical Aesthetics, Lasers, Injectables, and in addition to educating others on all the services that I love to do. I continue to take courses to stay on top of the newest trends, treatments and products. I truly love helping others and can’t think of a better way than by helping build clients' confidence.

Ashley was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where her passion for beauty was nurtured from a young age.
Growing up with two older sisters, she cherished the shared moments spent doing each other's hair and makeup-experiences that sparked her lifelong love for the beauty industry.
After attending beauty school, Ashley decided to channel her passion into a career as a beauty advisor.
This role allowed her to combine her technical skills with her love for helping others feel confident and beautiful.
After having her son, Ashley took some time off to focus on her family. When she returned to the workforce, she embraced a new direction and transitioned into a role as a spa coordinator-a position that blended her organizational skills with her deep-rooted passion for the beauty and wellness industry.
In her current role, Ashley loves helping clients find the perfect treatments to achieve their skincare goals. Her dedication to creating positive, personalized experiences has only deepened her passion for the industry.
